Catholic Charities Receives Generous Donation from Novo Logistics – Nevada Business Magazine

Reno, Nev. – Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada (CCNN) recently received a generous donation from Novo Logistics, a locally owned and operated third-party logistics company.  Recognizing a critical need within the human services agency, Novo Logistics offered an innovative solution to assist the 83 year old organization in supporting the nearly 40,000 people it serves monthly.

The partnership initially began with Novo and their employees assembling and donating hundreds of stockings and Easter baskets for children in need.  However, it evolved when CCNN identified a need for logistics space to store bulk food items, previously donated or purchased through efficiencies, along with donated materials for seasonal giveaways and overflow of donations for Super Thrift.

“This innovative solution to our needs enables Catholic Charities grow our footprint and purchasing power thus better serving  the needs of our community,” said Marie Baxter, CEO, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada.  “We are so grateful for the partnership with Novo Logistics, which stands as a leading example of ways businesses can support local organizations.”

Supporting social services agencies broadens their capacity to offer vital programs and services to individuals in need. By providing resources, whether through donations, volunteer efforts, partnerships, or other means of support, these agencies can develop new initiatives, improve existing programs, and reach more individuals who require assistance.

“Partnering with Catholic Charities to find solutions that simplify and amplify their impact has been incredibly heartwarming,” said Ryan Peirce, CEO, Novo Logistics.  “It underscores our commitment to supporting the work of this wonderful organization, that is so dedicated to serving the most vulnerable populations in our community.”
